Returns and Complaints

1. General Information

ALANDA Engineering equipment manufactured by Design Plus Hydrographics is intended for professional applications in hydrographics technology.

We place particular emphasis on structural durability, equipment reliability and the ability to resolve any faults promptly.

The equipment is designed to allow selected components to be replaced without transporting the entire tank back to the manufacturer.

These rules apply to ALANDA Engineering equipment sold directly by Design Plus Hydrographics.

2. Manufacturer’s Warranty

ALANDA Engineering equipment is covered by a 24-month manufacturer’s warranty, beginning on the date the equipment is delivered to the buyer.

The warranty covers material and manufacturing defects and faults for which the manufacturer is responsible under the terms set out in this document.

Under the adopted service policy, the warranty also covers replacement of pumps and heating elements if they fail as a result of natural wear during proper operation of the equipment.

Before dispatch, every device undergoes a technical inspection, including a tank leak-tightness test.

3. Reporting Faults

Warranty claims should be sent to:

designplus@wp.pl

To help us assess your claim efficiently, please provide:

  • the ALANDA Engineering equipment model;
  • information identifying the order;
  • a description of the fault;
  • contact details and the address to which a replacement part should be sent if necessary.

Where possible, please attach photographs or a short video showing the problem.

After receiving the claim, the manufacturer contacts the buyer to establish the cause of the fault and the appropriate way to remedy it.

4. Rapid Replacement of Pumps and Heating Elements

ALANDA Engineering equipment is designed to facilitate replacement of key components, particularly pumps and heating elements.

For a fault covered by the warranty, the manufacturer arranges shipment of the appropriate replacement part to the specified address.

The replacement part and its shipment to the buyer are free of charge under an accepted warranty claim.

To reduce equipment downtime, the replacement part may be sent before the defective component has been received.

In many cases, this makes it possible to remedy the fault without returning the entire device to the manufacturer.

5. Component Replacement at the Buyer’s Premises

The buyer arranges replacement of the supplied component in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and safety requirements.

If particular work requires appropriate electrical qualifications, it should be carried out by a person holding those qualifications.

If the buyer is unsure about the replacement procedure, they may contact the manufacturer for further guidance.

6. Returning the Replaced Component

Under the agreed advance-replacement procedure, the buyer undertakes to return the replaced, defective component within 30 days of receiving the replacement part.

Under the adopted model for this procedure, the buyer arranges return shipment at their own expense, provided that such an arrangement is permitted under the law applicable to the transaction.

Returning the component allows the manufacturer to inspect it and assess the cause of the failure.

If the replaced part is not returned within the specified period, the manufacturer may refuse another advance shipment of a replacement part before receiving the defective component.

Failure to return a component does not automatically result in the loss of the entire equipment warranty.

The buyer retains access to the standard procedure for submitting and assessing complaints.

7. Mechanical Damage and Improper Use

ALANDA Engineering tanks are constructed from AISI 304 stainless steel and designed for long-term operation.

The warranty does not cover damage caused by improper use, impacts, accidental mechanical damage or other external factors for which the manufacturer is not responsible.

This exclusion does not apply to material or manufacturing defects for which the manufacturer is responsible under the warranty terms.

Each claim is assessed individually, taking into account the nature and cause of the damage.

8. Other Warranty Claims

For faults that cannot be resolved through simple component replacement, the manufacturer agrees the appropriate next steps with the buyer.

Depending on the fault, this may include additional diagnostics, supplying other replacement parts or agreeing repair arrangements.

The way the warranty is fulfilled should take into account the nature of the equipment, its operating conditions and the applicable provisions of law.

9. Order Cancellation

Sending an inquiry about ALANDA Engineering equipment does not constitute a binding order or create an obligation to pay.

After the equipment configuration, delivery cost and estimated fulfilment timeline have been agreed, the seller issues a proforma invoice.

If the buyer decides not to proceed before making payment, they should inform the manufacturer of their decision.

After full payment has been made, the possibility of cancelling the order and the terms of any settlement are agreed individually, taking into account the stage of fulfilment and applicable law.

This also applies where adaptation of the equipment to the agreed electrical configuration has already begun.

10. Returning Functioning Equipment

Returning functioning ALANDA Engineering equipment purchased in a B2B transaction because the buyer has changed their mind is not normally provided for.

However, the manufacturer may agree to accept such a return on an individual basis.

The terms of any return, including transport costs and settlement arrangements, must be agreed between the parties in advance.

These rules do not limit the buyer’s rights under mandatory provisions of law.

11. Buyer’s Rights

The manufacturer’s warranty provides a separate basis for handling claims concerning ALANDA Engineering equipment.

It does not exclude or limit the buyer’s rights under mandatory provisions of law.
